Notes
Butterfly agave (Agave potatorum) is a succulent for containers, rock gardens, and sunny windowsills. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. Its blue-green leaves form a tight, round rosette. The spines are a contrasting cinnamon brown, and yellow flowers appear in summer.
Pairs well with Mexican heather, Lemon grass, and Crocus.
