Notes
Button fern (Hemionitis rotundifolia) is a fern for containers and low-maintenance spots. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun or part shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It stays small, at 6 to 12 inches tall and wide, and it keeps its leaves all year.
Pairs well with Lady fern, Chinese ground orchid, and Snake's head.
