Notes

California sycamore (Platanus racemosa) is a tree with mottled white bark. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The stout trunk often divides into thick, contorted branches that form a broad, open crown. Deeply five-lobed leaves turn a moderate color in fall. Give it plenty of room to spread.

Pairs well with California wild rose, California mock orange, and Blue oak.
