Canada lily (Lilium canadense) is a perennial for borders, meadows, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. Nodding flowers are yellow outside and reddish orange with dark spots inside, and one plant may carry up to 20 of them. Bees visit the blooms in summer.
