This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Deer tend to pass it by. Deep burgundy foliage sets off blooms from early to late summer and again in early to mid autumn. Winter wet can harm it, so lift and store it in a cool, dry, frost free place.

Pairs well with Sea holly, White sage, and Buffalo grass.
