Notes

'Chicago Apache' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Chicago Apache') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. Rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and blooms in summer, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant flowers.

Pairs well with Cardinal flower, White Swan coneflower, and Hardy geranium.
