Notes

'Chicago Blackout' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Chicago Blackout') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the fragrant blooms. It also tolerates drought and salt. Rabbits tend to nibble other plants first.

Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Sedge, and Nodding onion.
