Notes

'Christmas Tree' hosta (Hosta sieboldiana 'Christmas Tree') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It forms a clumping mound that grows 12 to 24 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the fragrant flowers.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Green Spice coral bells, and Red trillium.
