Notes

'Coloratus' winter creeper (Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus') is an evergreen groundcover for low maintenance gardens and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows fast and spreads 12 to 36 inches, so give it room. Bees and birds visit it, and it tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Eastern white pine, and Hardy geranium.
