Notes

Winter creeper (Euonymus fortunei) is a climbing evergreen shrub for ground cover, borders, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast and tolerates salt, and bees and birds visit its greenish-white flowers. Deer tend to pass it by. Give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Bush honeysuckle, Prairie dropseed, and Ostrich fern.

Native range

East Asia.
