Notes

'Comet' freesia (Freesia 'Comet') is a bulb for cut flowers and specimen use. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant flowers open from early to late summer. They start cardinal red and change to jasper red, with a gold throat veined in red.

Pairs well with Lavender Perfection dahlia, Apple Blossom amaryllis, Dragon Wing Red begonia, and Giant chain fern.
