Notes
'Apple Blossom' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Apple Blossom') is a bulb for borders, containers, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The white flowers have a pink blush and a red ring in the throat, and each stem carries an umbel of 4 to 5 blooms. The plant loses its leaves and goes dormant each year. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.
Pairs well with False shamrock, Mondo grass, and Balloon flower.
