Notes

Common dittany (Cunila origanoides) is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Lavender flowers open in summer and again in autumn, and they draw butterflies and bees. The fragrant plant tolerates drought and stays 9 to 18 inches tall.

Pairs well with Blue sage, Blue-eyed grass, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
