Notes

Common madia (Madia elegans) is an annual for borders and low maintenance gardens. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Slender, erect, leafy stems carry yellow flower heads near the tips of the branches. The heads close at night. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms, and the plant handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Texas bluebonnet, Silver sage, and Fountain grass.
