Notes

Texas bluebonnet (Lupinus texensis) is an annual for borders, meadows, and low maintenance gardens. This plant likes full sun and dry soil of most types. Its fragrant blue flower clusters have a white tip and open in early to late spring. Bees visit the blooms. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. In winter the plant forms a neat rosette of leaves.

Pairs well with Texas Indian paintbrush, Mealycup sage, and Bigfruit evening-primrose.
