Notes

'Compacta' white fir (Abies concolor 'Compacta') is a slow-growing evergreen shrub for borders, containers, specimens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays dense and compact with a fragrant scent. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Birds visit it.

Pairs well with Hicksii yew, Winterberry, and Prairie dropseed.
