Notes

'Hicksii' yew (Taxus × media 'Hicksii') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, foundation plantings, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly and stays evergreen, so it gives you green color all year. It does not flower. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Winterberry, Lenten rose, and Eastern white pine.
