Notes

'Crown Orange' calendula (Calendula officinalis 'Crown Orange') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, containers, and pollinator gardens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It forms a mounding clump that grows 12 to 24 inches tall, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Flowers open in spring, summer, and autumn.

Pairs well with Aster, Love-in-a-mist, Cosmos, and Ornamental onion.
