'Dark Vader' echeveria (Echeveria 'Dark Vader') is a succulent for containers, rock gardens, and houseplant collections. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and dry soil. The leaves curve up into the center of the rosette. Hot sun turns them nearly all burgundy, and a little water or fertilizer stress brings out the richest color.
Pairs well with Coppertone stonecrop, Heavy Metal switchgrass, and Singleleaf pinyon.
