Notes

Delmara orange ice plant (Delosperma cooperi) is a succulent for ground cover, rock gardens, xeriscape, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Glossy red-purple flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies visit them. Deer tend to pass it by. It stays evergreen and spreads 12 to 24 inches wide.

Pairs well with Prickly-pear, Blue star creeper, and Japanese forest grass.
