'Diablo' cosmos (Cosmos 'Diablo') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers. It handles dry spells well, so it suits a low effort garden. Blooms appear from summer into autumn.
Pairs well with False Queen Anne's lace, ProCut White Lite sunflower, and Red fescue.
