Notes

Dittany (Dictamnus albus) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Fragrant flowers in white, pink, red, or lilac open in spring and summer, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. This slow growing clump also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Angel Cheeks peony, Carlton daffodil, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
