Notes

'Phantom' panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Phantom') is a shrub for borders, hedges, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It sits low on the menu for deer. The white blooms mature to pink and attract butterflies and bees. It grows fast and has an arching habit, so give it room to spread.

Pairs well with American cranberrybush, Curly Fries hosta, Western sword fern, and Solomon's seal.
