Notes

'Dove' columbine (Aquilegia 'Dove') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and woodland settings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. White flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds.

Pairs well with Bellwort, Royal fern, Sedge, and Yellow trout-lily.
