Notes

'Early Bird' goldenrod (Solidago 'Early Bird') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, loamy or clay soil. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plants grow 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Spotted beebalm, Switchgrass, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
