Notes
Edelweiss (Leontopodium nivale) is a perennial for containers and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows about 12 inches tall and wide. Flowers appear in spring and again in summer, so you get two rounds of bloom. It does best in alkaline to neutral soil.
Pairs well with Hens and chicks, Stemless gentian, and Thrift.
