Notes

'Escargot' begonia (Begonia 'Escargot') is a perennial for containers, shade gardens, and borders. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It is evergreen and reaches about 12 inches tall.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Japanese forest grass, and Siebold's hosta.
