Notes

'River Nile' begonia (Begonia 'River Nile') is a perennial for borders, containers, and shade gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist soil. It bears white blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Plants reach 12 to 24 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Southern shield fern, Polka dot plant, Japanese aralia, and Holly fern.
