Notes

'Evelyn' field maple (Acer campestre 'Evelyn') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into a rounded shape that reaches 25 to 35 feet tall and wide. Yellowish-green flowers open from early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Western redbud, Oakleaf hydrangea, and Autumn fern.
