This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows erect to about 24 inches tall. Blooms open in spring and again in summer, and they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees.
Pairs well with Paris coral bells, Little Lime panicle hydrangea, and Blue grama.
