Notes

'Guardian Blue' delphinium (Delphinium elatum 'Guardian Blue') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its erect stems carry blooms in early to late summer, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Tall stems may need support in windy spots.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Willow bell, Henryi clematis, and Stargazer lily.
