Notes

'Farrowone' Japanese holly (Ilex crenata 'Farrowone') is a shrub for hedges, foundation plantings, borders, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense evergreen mound about 4 to 5 feet tall. Bees visit the spring blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Wide Brim hosta, Little bluestem, and Pagoda dogwood.
