Notes

'Sky Pointer' Japanese holly (Ilex crenata 'Sky Pointer') is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows slowly into a dense evergreen, so it keeps its shape with little care. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Magnus coneflower, and Mavis Simpson crane's-bill.
