Notes

'Feesey' reed canary grass (Phalaris arundinacea 'Feesey') is a grass for borders, ground cover, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows at a rapid rate and reaches about 36 inches tall and wide. Give it room, since fast growers can crowd nearby plants.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Astilbe, Hardy geranium, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
