Notes
Fevertree (Pinckneya pubens) is a large shrub for specimen planting, woodland gardens, and wet spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade. The yellowish-green flowers are tubular, but the showy part is the white, pink, or rose sepals that look like poinsettias. Flowers stay effective for several weeks. In fertile, well-drained soil it suckers less and grows more slowly.
Pairs well with Azalea, Purple Pillar rose of sharon, and Spiderwort.
