Notes

Azalea (Rhododendron indicum) is an evergreen shrub for borders, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and average to moist, loamy soil. It grows slowly into a dense mound of green leaves, 24 to 36 inches tall and wide. Red flowers open in spring, with some more blooms in early summer and autumn. Rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Oakleaf hydrangea, Foam flower, Christmas fern, and Paperbark maple.
