Notes

Fewflower milkweed (Asclepias lanceolata) is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Sparse heads of bright orange-red flowers sit at the ends of long, slender purplish stems. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Hardy hibiscus, False indigo, and Fountain grass.
