Notes

Hardy hibiscus (Hibiscus moscheutos) is a perennial for borders, rain gardens, pollinator gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and reaches 3 to 7 feet tall. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the white to pink blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer.
