Notes

'Firebird' coneflower (Echinacea 'Firebird') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the scarlet red blooms. Deer tend to pass it by. The flowers are fragrant, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Nodding onion, and Solar Power sunflower.
