Notes
Floating heart (Nymphoides aquatica) is a perennial for low maintenance water gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and moist to wet, loamy or clay soil. Its floating, heart-shaped leaves sit on long stalks. Small white flowers with five petals rise in flat-topped clusters just above the leaves.
Pairs well with Northwind switchgrass, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Rozanne crane's-bill.
