Notes
Yellow floating heart (Nymphoides peltata) is a perennial for ponds, water gardens, and naturalized edges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and spreads by a prostrate habit, so give it plenty of room. Yellow flowers appear in spring, summer, and autumn above green leaves.
Pairs well with Bald cypress, Northwind switchgrass, and Primula.
Native range
Europe and Asia.
