Notes
Fourleaf milkweed (Asclepias quadrifolia) is a perennial for pollinator gardens, woodlands, meadows, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant, purplish-pink flowers attract butterflies and bees, and the plant tolerates drought. It sits low on the menu for deer. Plants grow 12 to 30 inches tall.
Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Indian grass, and Sundrops.
Native range
Central and eastern North America.
