Notes

Lanceleaf coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, meadows, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Its yellow, daisy-like flowers attract butterflies and bees, and they look nice in a vase. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It self-sows readily and can become weedy, so deadhead it often to keep it blooming into summer.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Eastern columbine, and Joe Pye weed.
