'Gem Star Russet' potato (Solanum tuberosum 'Gem Star Russet') is a vegetable for the food garden. It is typically grown as an annual. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun. The potato is grown for baking and French fries, and you can also harvest it early for baby potatoes. Loose soil gives higher yields, and hilling up the plants increases yield too.

Pairs well with Hungarian Wax Hot Pepper, Kent Beauty oregano, and French lavender.
