Notes

Giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) is a tree for low maintenance on large properties. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The evergreen crown is conical when young and narrows and rounds with age. The bark is reddish brown, fibrous, and deeply furrowed. It grows fast and can reach 60-100 feet in about a century.

Pairs well with Saucer magnolia, Juneberry, and Daffodil.
