Notes

Giga blue pincushion flower (Scabiosa columbaria) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Its blue to purple flowers are fragrant and bring butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds to the garden. Deer tend to pass it by. The gray and green leaves form a neat clump that stays under 16 inches tall.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Japanese forest grass, and Ornamental onion.
