Notes

Glossy abelia (Abelia grandiflora) is a shrub for hedges, borders, foundation plantings, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its arching stems carry fragrant pink and white flowers that draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The plant also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Gaura, Japanese forest grass, and Ornamental onion.
