Notes

Woolly yarrow (Achillea tomentosa) is a perennial for rock gardens, ground cover, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Its gray and green leaves are fragrant, and yellow flowers open in spring and again in summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blanket flower, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Limeglow creeping juniper.
