Notes

'Gladiator' ornamental onion (Allium 'Gladiator') is a bulb for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It bears large, fragrant, lavender-purple flower spheres on tall stems that attract butterflies and bees. Don't worry when the leaves die back just before flowering, because that is normal. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Buckeye Belle peony, Stained Glass hosta, and Pink Impression tulip.
