Notes
'Golden King' spotted laurel (Aucuba japonica 'Golden King') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly and keeps an arching shape. The evergreen leaves give you color all winter. It also tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Lenten rose, Lady fern, and White bigleaf hydrangea.
